Join Master of Traditional Art Painter Fongwei Liu,
Fongwei will help you improve handling composition and color in painting landscapes. He will stress
how to achieve specific painting effects by properly applying paints and medium. He will introduce
his painting concepts to establish a general framework to guide the entire painting process. Small
group workshop, every student will get enough attention, group or one-on-one critique will be
provided as well during the workshop.
Biography:
Fongwei Liu received his BFA degree from China in 1994, and received his MFA degree from
Academy of Art University, San Francisco in 2009. Since 2010, Fongwei has been teaching
graduate level painting classes at Academy of Art University, San Francisco.
Fongwei started his career as a professional artist in 2009. His works have been shown in many
exhibitions, such as Salon International by Greenhouse Gallery; National Juried Exhibition of
Traditional Oils by Oil Painters of America; Annual International Portrait Competition by the Portrait
Society of America; Great Impressionists – Masters of Fine Art by Silvana Gallery; and Great
American Figurative Artists Exhibition by Waterhouse Gallery.
This workshop is filling up fast! We recommend that you sign up as early as possible in order to
reserve your space. We require a deposit of $300 per reservation, and the full amount is due by
April 20th. Registrations are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis, and availability is limited
and subject to change without notice.

Non-painters are welcome at the Discount of workshop cost.
Refunds & Cancellation Policies:
Cancellation Policy: $200 of initial deposit is non-refundable.
After April 20, 2012 50% of the total amount is non-refundable.
After May 10, 2012 there are no refunds on the total amount.
If the Silvana gallery Workshops cancels the expedition for any reason, all payments will be
refunded.
